You probably scroll through Pinterest and Instagram saving photo-worthy inspiration in hopes of creating that picture-perfect celebration. But when it comes time to actually plan it, you may not know where to begin—and that’s where I come in.
My name is Whitney, LA native, founder and creative director of The Balloon Bar Co. We’re based in the Santa Clarita Valley and offer custom balloon décor in Los Angeles, from the San Fernando Valley to Pasadena, the Westside, and beyond. We also offer Los Angeles balloon delivery for select designs, and occasionally travel as far as Orange County and San Diego for special events.

As a mom and former DIY party planner, I know firsthand that events are never one-size-fits-all. That’s why my goal is to make sure you feel heard and supported every step of the way—while making your life (and your party décor) as easy and stress-free as possible.
How The Balloon Bar Co. Began
My career in balloons started at a very young age, twisting balloon animals at friends’ birthday parties. Just kidding. I never even tied two balloons together until I was in my mid-thirties.
For most of my adult life, I worked in marketing for large companies, including cruise lines and theme parks. I earned my MBA from USC and genuinely enjoyed my career, but something was missing. I knew I wanted to work for myself doing something that would benefit both me and my family. I just didn’t know what that something was—yet.
I’ve always loved planning events and jumped at the chance to help with family gatherings, birthday parties, and bachelorette parties. Planning my own wedding even had me briefly considering a part-time career in wedding planning. But it wasn’t until my kids were born that I was introduced to balloons as I know them now. Like many party-loving parents, I wanted to create adorable, themed birthday parties that felt pulled together and Pinterest-worthy. I found myself drawn to fun, festive balloon designs that instantly took celebrations to the next level—and eventually I wondered… could I do that myself? Spoiler alert: I learned how, and I never looked back.
Fast forward to 2025. After creating balloon designs for friends and family throughout Santa Clarita and Los Angeles, I decided to turn my creative outlet into a part-time business. And about a year later, the business began asking for more of my time, energy, and attention than I could give it on the side. That’s when I decided it was time to go all in. And here I am—living out my small business dreams one balloon at a time. If you had told me five years ago that I’d own a balloon décor company, I would’ve laughed. Never in a million years did I imagine my creativity would show up this way, but I’m so grateful that it did. This journey allows me to be present for my family while building something I truly love—spreading joy through balloons.

I’m a firm believer that one size does not fit all. While I do offer a curated range of balloon décor options, the real magic happens in the customization—the thoughtful details that let clients know they’re being listened to and that their vision truly matters.
